The Chicago Auto Show, one of the most prestigious auto shows around the world completed it 103rd year in February 2011. Following the economic downfall, the last two years were not very memorable ones. We all know how the recession hit the automobile industry. Yet, this year the return of prosperous times was quite evident in the Chicago Auto Show.
The Chicago Auto Show 2011 was definitely one of the best we have seen in our times. The show managed to attract millions of enthusiasts from across the world, and not to mention all the great cars that we can’t wait to get our hands on. Around 1000 cars were there to show off themselves and it makes us more than happy to say that this year there were more hits than misses. Chevy Camaro ZL1
There are two main reasons to put this one on the top. First of all, the car bagged the ‘Best All-New production Vehicle award’ plus ‘Vehicle I’d most like to have in my driveway’. Secondly, the car is definitely a clear sign for the return of the muscle car era. The car features a supercharged 550hp V-8 engine with a dual-clutch six-speed manual transmission.
2011 Dodge Challenger
They call it green with envy, perhaps they were talking about all the other cars. Dodge continues the legacy of its highly popular muscle car with this amazing must-have. With a nostalgic green color and the grace of a muscle car, the 2011 Challenger looks like a real blast from the past. Under the hood is a 250 hp V6 engine and six-speed manual transmission.
Hyundai Veloster 2012
Fortunately, we saw the really exciting ‘Rally Car’ version of the highly anticipated Hyundai Veloster 2012. Being a three door sports coupe, the Veloster does seem like the best effort by Hyundai to make their mark in the US market. The rally car, too, looks promising enough to give its competitors a pretty hard time due to its aerodynamic body and 500hp engine.
Mazda Miata M-5 Special Edition
A lot of things were special about this edition of M-5. Mazda has launched this edition to mark the success of the M-5 as its sales reach the milestone of 900,000. Features and looks are a bit different than the original ones compared to the new M-5. The car will have all the exclusive options available as custom features. These include the 17 inch polished aluminum wheels.
